YOU ARE PURCHASING ONE, NEW, 90 DEGREE SPEEDOMETER CABLE ADAPTER
This 90° adapter is primarily used in tight clearance situations to avoid speedometer cable installations that require severe bends in the cable, which in turn create a "Bouncing" Speedometer Needle. This unit has a 1-to-1 direct-drive ratio, and cannot be used to adjust speedometer readings!
This 90° adapter connects to all GM transmissions both Manual and Automatic that are equipped with a 7/8-18 thread Speedometer output connection on the transmission including,
Powerglide, Turboglide
TH-200-4R, TH-350, TH-400, TH-700-R4,, and Muncie, Saginaw & Borg-Warner 3 & 4-speed manual transmissions!
NOTE: THIS UNIT IS DESIGNED TO ATTACH TO THE TRANSMISSION,
NOT
the SPEEDOMETER!!!
When installed this adapter extends 1.600" beyond the male threaded boss which the speedometer cable normally attaches to. The Drive tang is the standard .104 square dimension used by all GM Speedometer cables, and it requires the use of a 1-1/16" OR 26-mm wrench to install and tighten the hex nut
Additionally, because of its modular design & construction, this adapter
can be easily set up to rotate in either direction!!
