Pair 18th c Antique English Silverplate Covered Entree Dishes by Matthew Boulton

Impressive pair of antique 18th century English silverplate covered entree dishes, by Matthew Boulton, measuring 6-1/2" high x 13" wide, each consists of 3 parts: 1) the ornate handled base has a fixed openwork piece over the hot water reservoir with corner drain,2)  the interior liner, 3)  the lid with finial which is removable with a twist, traditional English form, with bun feet, the interior and handled base both bear the star mark of Matthew Boulton, the lid marked 4 on the outside of the lip, it also is engraved with a heraldic bird motif, condition: the interior part shows wear to the finish on the bottom, the copper is showing through on 4 corner areas on the one, wear is consistent with age and use, from a local estate.
